Growables

Growables are expandable and collapsible containers for content.

[growable] Attributes:
  • title: required
  • grown: optional; if set to "yes," the growable will be open by default.
  • anchor: optional; if set, overrides the HTML anchor for this growable. Must be a valid HTML ID (alphanumerics, hyphens, and underscores only). If not provided, the anchor defaults to "section-(growable title)".
  • excerpt: use is discouraged; may be removed in the future

Example Source Code

The example below would make two growables:

[growable title="Growable Title"]

Growable content goes here.

[/growable]

[growable title="Another Growable Title" grown="yes"]

Adding grown="yes" within the opening tag makes a growable open automatically when the page loads.

[/growable]

The growables will appear in the following format:

Accordions

We also include another shortcode that is almost identical with growables, it is called the accordion short code. The main difference with the accordion short code is that you can only have one section of your content open at one time. If you click another portion of your content, what you were just viewing is collapsed and what you clicked is expanded. Where as with growables this doesn't happen, you can have all your content exposed at once and a section of your content will always be exposed. The accordion can never be fully collapsed, where as with a growable it can. Below is an example of the accordion short code:

GrowableTitle Number 1

Growable content goes here.

GrowableTitle Number 2

Growable content goes here.

GrowableTitle Number 3

Growable content goes here.

GrowableTitle Number 4

Growable content goes here.
