Sustainability Partners of the Nursing Institute of West Central Ohio

The operation of the Nursing Institute of West Central Ohio would not be possible without the ongoing support of the coalition of community-minded institutions who stand as the Institution's Sustainability Partners. Our Sustainability Partners provide the means by which the Institute will transform the region by creating and sustaining a nationally recognized center for nursing excellence. Graceworks Lutheran Services has advanced its mission and values since its incorporation in 1926. Its programs and services are offered in more than 50 locations throughout southwest Ohio, southeast Indiana and northern Kentucky. Those programs include senior living, credit counseling, case management and emergency services, affordable housing for persons who are older or have disabilities, senior comparison program, and housing and care for individuals with developmental disabilities.The name, Graceworks Lutheran Services, expresses a motivaton to offer works in faithful response to God's grace. The name captures the organization's Lutheran heritage and conveys the rich meaning associated with its work.

Premiere Health Partners (PHP) is a large health system serving southwest Ohio communities by improving the quality, affordability, and accessibility of health care. Its members include more than 65 member locations throughout southwest Ohio, including four hospitals: Good Samaritan Hospital Dayton, Miami Valley Hospital, Atrium Medical Center and Upper Valley Medical Center. The PHP mission and legacy has always been to provide the most comprehensive, affordable and accessible health services and products for the betterment of health care in southwest Ohio. PHP is dedicated to serving the community by making it a priority to bring quality, affordable health care choices closer to you.

Sinclair Community College's mission is to help individuals turn dreams into achievable goals through accessible, high quality, affordable learning opportunities. Sinclair's nursing education department strives to help students become registered nurses, providing quality nursing care in a competent, caring manner. Since 1969, the Sinclair Community College’s nursing program has graduated thousands of students. With accreditation by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, approval by the State of Ohio Board of Nursing, and due to the high quality and excellent reputation of the program in the Dayton area and beyond, its nursing graduates continue to enjoy very successful nursing careers.

Wright State University, named after the world-famous Wright brothers, continues their spirit of innovation. The university serves nearly 17,000 students, offering more than 100 undergraduate and 50 Ph.D., graduate, and professional degrees. The Wright State University-Miami Valley College of Nursing and Health is committed to excellence in nursing education. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program has a four-year program for pre-licensure students, a completion program specifically for registered nurse students and an accelerated post baccalaureate program (BEACON). The Master of Science in nursing (MS) program provides advanced preparation for nurses in a variety of specialty areas.

"Through this association, Graceworks Lutheran Services has the opportunity to collaborate with other community partners and participate in the creation and operation of a unique learning setting. The Living Laboratory located in the house on the Bethany Village campus offers nursing and other healthcare students experience caring for older adults and testing innovative technologies and practices that support people living in their homes. The Nursing Institute is uniquely positioned to facilitate this unique collaboration. The compelling vision of the Living Laboratory at Bethany Village attracts community interest and support from a wide range of disciplines and services.

William E. Linesch, Vice President of Human Resources and Organization Effectiveness. William Linesch joined PHP in 2001 as Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness. Prior to coming to PHP, Bill was Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness for Northwest Airlines. He also served as Vice President of Human Resources for Reynolds and Reynolds Company.
