Sexual History Taking in the Schools: Do you Dare?

This audio streamed lecture examines the issues surrounding sexual history taking in the schools with students who are minors. It can be used to prepare pre and post-licensure nursing students and school nurses for understanding issues of privacy, public policy and legal rights of minors within the context of the community. It can be used independently or as a group activity requiring active discussion on-line. This material is presented by Dr. Susan Praeger, faculty in the Wright State University-Miami Valley College of Nursing and Health and was developed as a collaborative effort with the faculty and staff at the Center for Continuing Education in Adolescent Health at Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
