Organizational Theory Applied to Health Care

This module includes an audio streamed lecture and accompanying on-line activity that could be used to help nursing students review organizational theory and critically think as they apply the content to area health care agencies. 45 slides with audio lecture regarding organizational theory includes classical approaches as well as application of theory to nursing practice, types and models as applied to hospitals. The lecture ends with questions for students to consider in terms of the hospitals where they may be. Follow up activity can occur on-line in board discussion or recorded on-line chat. This module is best suited for the pre-licensure RN students and the RN-BSN student.
