Nursing Care of Individual Experiencing Anxiety

This audio streamed lecture and handout covers the nursing care of individuals experiencing anxiety. Theories, characteristics of anxiety disorders, physiological, behavioral, cognitive, and affective responses and treatment modalities used in the treatment of anxiety disorders are discussed. This lecture can be used to prepare a pre-licensure nursing student for clinical practice, or as a supplement to classroom teaching. This material was developed by Ms. June Tierney, MS, APRN,BC while on the faculty in the Wright State University-Miami Valley College of Nursing and Health.
