Honors WSU Professor With Scholarship. For more than 20 years, Roger Brucker has impressed
upon his marketing students at Wright State University the importance of making contribution

Wegmann Receives the
Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award. Richard M. Wegmann has been awarded the Wright
State University 1999 Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award. Wegmann received an MBA in
finance from Wright State University in 1982. He is the chairman and CEO of Digital
Concepts, Inc., an information technology services firm that provides software development
and systems integration services to manufactures, distribution and government organizations.

Ryan Denlinger Named
1998-99 Wright State University Trustees' Scholar. Ryan M. Denlinger has been named
a 1998-99 Wright State University Trustees' Scholar. Denlinger graduated from Northmont
High School in Englewood where he received numerous honors and awards including the
Northmont Honor Society and Best of the Bolts, which is a program recognizing students

Shannon Wilson Named
1998-99 Wright State University Trustees' Scholar. Shannon E. Wilson has been named
a 1998-99 Wright State University Trustees' Scholar. She graduated from Licking Heights High
School where she was active in band, track and field, the mentoring program, the post-
secondary option program and the National Honor Society. She also volunteered at the
James Cancer Hospital and Research Institute. (3/3/99)
Wright State Business
Students Tackle Environmental Management Issues. All business schools teach their
students the fundamentals of accounting, management and finance, but very few teach them about
environmental issues. Wright State University is in the forefront nationally in training
management students about the impact of environmental issues on business. Wright State's
College of Business and Administration (COBA) is offering a new required course to train

Wright State Professor Named
Among Nation's Top Engineering Educators. Wright State University professor, Mitch
Wolff, Ph.D., received the 1999 Ralph R. Teetor Educational Award from the Society of
Automotive Engineers (SAE) this month, distinguishing him as one of the nation's top

Martin Named Assistant
Director of Affirmative Action Programs at WSU. Michelle E. Martin has been promoted
to assistant director of affirmative action programs at Wright State University. Among
other job responsibilities, Martin will be responsible for conducting investigations
of alleged discrimination, assisting the director in monitoring compliance with affirmative
action requirements and developing affirmative action training programs. (3/1/99)
WSU Alumni Association
Pledges $500,000 to Wright State. The Wright State University Alumni Association (WSUAA)
has announced a gift of $500,000 over five years to support Wright State University
programs and organizations. (2/16/99)
Stephanie Smith Named
Director of Annual Giving at Wright State. Wright State University has named
Stephanie (Corbean) Smith director of annual giving. She will manage a comprehensive
annual giving program that includes the annual solicitation of alumni, friends and parents
for the support of Wright State and its colleges, schools and programs. (2/15/99)
Jeffrey Vernooy Named
Director of Disability Services at Wright State. Wright State University has named
Jeffrey A. Vernooy director of the Office of Disability Services. In his position,
Vernooy is responsible for the overall management of the Office of Disability Services.
Disability Services provides assistance and support services that promote full participation
and equal educational opportunities for students with disabilities. (2/15/99)
