STEPHANIE JAMES ELY NAMED
COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER AT WRIGHT STATE

Stephanie James Ely has been promoted to communications manager in the Office of Public Relations at Wright State University.

In her new position, Ely will continue as editor of Dialogue, Wright State's faculty and staff newsletter. In addition, her expanded duties will include assisting with media relations and acting as photo editor for Dialogue and Community, Wright State's semi-annual magazine.

"Stephanie came to the job with extensive photo journalism, media and writing experience and an enthusiasm for her work," said Barry O. Johnson, assistant vice president for public relations. "In the year since she came to work for our office, her talents in photo editing and knowledge of the media have become invaluable assets to the office."

A resident of Fairborn, Ely was a freelance journalist for the Dayton Daily News and The Catholic Telegraph prior to joining Wright State. Her professional experience includes serving as a photojournalist for The Orlando Sentinel, European Stars and Stripes in Darmstadt, Germany, and The St. Petersburg Times. She also taught photojournalism at Brevard Community College in Cocoa, Fla.
