DOORLEY RECEIVES WRIGHT STATE
ALUMNI TEACHING EXCELLENCE AWARD
Jane Doorley, instructor of nursing at Wright State University, has been awarded the 1998
WSU Alumni Association Award for Teaching Excellence.
In addition to teaching, Doorley serves as a support nurse at Miami Valley Hospital. Doorley received her M.S. degree in nursing from Wright State in 1987. She is the president- elect of the Zeta Phi Chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, has served on numerous WSU committees and is the author of many articles and conference papers.
"I am very honored and humbled to be the recipient of this award," said Doorley. "I love teaching, and it is truly a pleasure to be part of the Wright State faculty. During my years as a Wright State student, the faculty not only shared their knowledge and wisdom, but understood and encouraged my dreams. I feel that this recognition also belongs to them."
The Alumni Association has presented its Award for Teaching Excellence since 1975 to WSU faculty members who possess comprehensive knowledge, stimulate thinking, arouse interest, develop understanding and demonstrate resourcefulness in their field.
