WSU PRESIDENT PRESENTS FACULTY AWARDS,
HONORS FACULTY RECOGNIZED BY WSU TRUSTEES

Eight faculty members were honored by WSU President Kim Goldenberg at a convocation held Sept. 16 to mark the beginning of the 1998-99 academic year.

Goldenberg presented the Presidential Awards for Faculty Excellence as follows:

• Gerald Alter Receives Wright State Presidential Award For Faculty Excellence in Professional Service.
  
• Bud Baker Wins Wright State Presidential Award For Faculty Excellence In Teaching.
  
• William Cameron Chumlea Wins WSU Presidential Award for Faculty Excellence in Research.
  
• WSU President Names David Garrison Outstanding Faculty Member of the Year.
  
• Jan La Forge Receives WSU Presidential Award for Faculty Excellence in Professional Service.

• John Fortman Named Distinguished Professor of Teaching at Wright State.
  
• Wright State Board of Trustees Names Ramana Grandhi University Professor.
  
• Marshall Kapp Named Wright State Distinguished Professor of Service.
