Dregalla directs Department of Music by Lina Vitkauskas Herbert E. Dregalla Jr. has been named chair of the Department of Music. A former professor of music and director of bands at Nebraska Weslyan University, Dregallašs background is in instrumental music and music education. A native of Parma, Ohio, Dregalla taught in Ohio, New York, Tennessee and Nebraska before coming to Wright State. He holds degrees from the Manhattan School of Music, Case Western Reserve University and Baldwin-Wallace College, which, in 1984, awarded him its Conservatory Alumni Award for achievements in music and music education. "As an Ohio native, I am happy to be returning home and am honored to be appointed chair of the Department of Music at Wright State University," said Dregalla. "The faculty is a dynamic group of individuals, eager to continue and grow as a major force in music and music education in our area. I am excited to be a part of that environment." |
