The Morgan State University Choir, located in Baltimore, Md., has performed at the White House, Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall. The choir has toured throughout the United States, Europe, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Canary Islands, Bahamas and Canada. In addition, the choir has performed with major American and European orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, Helsinki Philharmonic and the New York Philharmonic. Other notable performances include a National Public Radio live recording with actor Robert Guillame. "We are honored to have this enriching opportunity for both the Wright State University and Dayton communities to hear such a superb choir," said Brenda Ellis, Ed.D., assistant professor in the Department of Music. "This choir epitomizes the best of African American choral music." A free-will donation will be taken, and proceeds from the event will benefit the Paul Laurence Dunbar Chorale Concert Tour and Scholarship Fund. The concert is free and open to the public.
