Founders' Day: WSU Turns 30

On October 1, 1967, Wright State was officially chartered as an independent state university. To celebrate this historic day, WSU's presidents took part in a Founders' Day celebration and reflected on the university's founding and growth.

Back to the Future

Fruit fly labs in a farmhouse kitchen. Theatre productions in Allyn Hall's lobby. For those first students and faculty who took a chance on a brand new university, it was a time not to be missed. Professor emeritus of English Peter Bracher looks back on the early days of Wright State.

Chaplain Bobbie Predmore: The Irreverent Reverend

Compassion tempered with candor, a down-to-earth style shaped by a deep respect for children. Tying it all together-a robust sense of humor. Since 1975, Bobbie Predmore (70 B.S.Ed.) has been helping families cope with the many life dramas played out every day at Children's Medical Center.

Uncovering a Culture Underground

Students in Robert Riordan's field school archeology class have been digging up the past of a culture that flourished in Ohio more than 2,000 years ago. The school is the longest-running field course in Ohio, resulting in the most intensive study to date of prehistoric hilltop enclosures.
