Dr.Welch is an emeritus professor and former director of bands at The University of Iowa where he conducted the Symphony Band and Chamber Wind Ensemble, coordinated the graduate program in band conducting, and taught courses in instrumental methods, conducting and band literature.   WSU is proud to announce Dr. Welch as our 2009 WSU Tri-State Honor Band featured conductor!
