9th Annual WSU Tri-State Honor Band

The 9th Annual WSU Tri-State Honor Band festival will take place January 24-26, 2008, in the Creative Arts Center Concert Hall.  This year’s featured conductor will be internationally renowned composer and conductor Dr. Jack Stamp.  In addition to his widely acclaimed work as a prolific composer of wind ensemble music, Dr. Stamp is also Director of Bands at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and the conductor of the critically acclaimed Keystone Wind Ensemble.  As in the past, the WSU Wind Symphony will perform, along with the Tri-State Honor Band as part of the festival highlights.  Both the WSU Wind Symphony and the Honor Band will have the opportunity to learn and experience compositions by Dr. Stamp, with the composer serving as conductor.
