Mad River Vocal Arts Festival October 14 - 15 at Wright State
WSU will host the 7th annual Mad River Vocal Arts Festival October 13-15 in the Student Union Multipurpose Room.
This three-day event features masterclasses and honor choir rehearsals involving selected WSU choirs and conducting classes, plus over 150 high school singers selected from over 20 high schools throughout Ohio. Concerts for the MRVAF will take place on Sunday, October 14 at 8:00 pm (Welcoming Concert featuring the WSU Men's & Women's Chorale), and Monday, October 15 at 6:30 pm (Grand Finale Concert featuring the MRVAF High School Honor Choir and the WSU Collegiate Chorale).
This year's clinician-conductor is Grammy Award winning conductor Dr. Jerry Blackstone, Director of Choral Studies and Conducting at the University of Michigan. Please see the Mad River page on our new website,for detailed information on Dr. Blackstone.
