Tyler earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Wright State University where he studied with Jim McCutcheon. He has taught guitar privately, in the public school general music setting and at Wright State University, instructing a Guitar Methods class. Tyler will serve as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Wright State Music Department starting Fall 2013.
Tyler plays and teaches music of varied genres ranging from classical, blues, folk and Christian worship—all while utilizing proven pedagogical techniques. He has performed in masterclass for Michael Nicollela and Michael Bard; performed on WDPR and throughout the Dayton area.
Tyler enjoys teaching students of all ages, focusing on sound technique. This Fall, Tyler also joins the Cedarville University faculty as an Adjunct Instructor of Guitar.
