Tze Yean Lim is violinist of the Wright State University Faculty String Quartet.He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Violin from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM).He has studied with Won-Bin Yim, Naoko Tanaka, Philip Ruder, members of the LaSalle and Tokyo String Quartet.

He has presented solo violin recitals in Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Australia, South Africa, and throughout the United States. Lim and his string quartet were featured in the 2005 and 2006 Ohio Music Educators Conference. Last year, his string quartet also performed at the College Music Society Great-Lakes Chapter Annual Conference. Besides performing, Lim also maintains a studio of gifted young violinists. His students have appeared as soloists with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Louisville Orchestra, Springfield Symphony Orchestra, and Central Kentucky Youth Orchestra.

One of his top students recently appeared in the National Public Radio program From the Top that features talented young musicians. His students are frequent participants in prestigious summer music programs such as the Aspen Summer Music Festival, Meadowmount School of Music, and Tanglewood Summer Music School. Lim is currently on the faculty at Wright State University in Dayton and the CCM Preparatory Department in Cincinnati.
