Mark Jauss is in his second year as a graduate teaching assistant for the Department of Music and is pursuing a Masters Degree in Choral Conducting.

 In addition to singing in the Chamber Singers, Collegiate Chorale, and Men’s Chorale, Mark also currently teaches beginning keyboarding, will teach basic conducting in the spring, and is the assistant director of the Men’s Chorale. 

Mark recently graduated from Wright State with a Bachelors Degree in Music Education, having completed his student teaching at Kettering Fairmont High School under the direction of Brody McDonald.  Mark is a member of professional organizations such as ACDA and MENC, and is an active member in the ACDA student chapter at Wright State.  He was featured as tenor soloist for performances of Bach’s Cantata No.23 with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra and Collegiate Chorale under the direction of Neal Gittleman.  Mark was also the first recipient of the Department of Music’s prestigious Collegiate Chorale Director’s Award for Choral Excellence in 2005.
