The Wright State University Raider Pep Band provides all musical entertainment at home Men’s and Women’s Basketball Games. The ensemble, comprised of WSU students, performs traditional, high energy Pop music and cheers to help excite the crowd and drive the Raiders to another Horizon League Championship and NCAA berth. Members of the band receive free admission to all home games they perform at, plus the opportunity to receive scholarship money for certain performances. Last year, select members of the band traveled with the Men’s Basketball team to Buffalo, New York for the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship Tournament. The band appeared on national television during official time-outs.
The band is made up Flutes, Clarinets, Saxes, Mellowphones (French Horn), Trumpets,
Trombones, Tubas, Electric Bass, and Drum Set. If play you an instrument not
listed, contact the director, we may have a seat for you. Membership is open
to all WSU students, by audition. Membership is limited to 55, so sign up early
to ensure a seat!
