About Us

The Office of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Ally (LGBTQA) Affairs was founded in July of 2015.  The Office of LGBTQA Affairs is part of the Division of Multicultural Affairs & Community Engagement at Wright State University and is staffed by the Director and one Graduate Assistant. It proceeds the part-time staff member (graduate assistant) hired for GLBTQA Initiatives by Student Affairs & the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning, & Ally Resource Room (both founded in 2011).

The Office of LGBTQA Affairs website is designed to collectively bring together information about LGBTQA programs and services in one convenient location for Wright State University students, faculty and staff.

The LGBTQA Community Engagement Room (formally known as the GLBTQA Resource Room which was a collaborative effort of the core team comprised of Counseling and Wellness ServicesOffice of Student ActivitiesWomen’s Center, Rainbow Alliance, and Student Government) is a service provided by the Office of LGBTQA Affairs. The LGBTQA Community Engagement Room offers a DVD & Book library, volunteer opportunities, and more. Email Josh Scacco- for more information if you are interested in volunteering.

In addition the Office of LGBTQA Affairs co-advises the undergraduate LGBTQA+ organization Rainbow Alliance and supports and partners with the Wright State Allies, Boonshoft Pride, and the LGBTQA+ Liaison in Counseling & Wellness.
