Rehabilitation Services
Major/Minor
The rehabilitation services program prepares rehabilitation service providers who assist people with disabilities. Rehabilitation services providers are trained to assess individual strengths and needs, and are taught to understand the total impact of a disability upon the individual. Rehabilitation services providers are employed in : case management, independent living, vocational evaluation, probation, hospice, employee assessment, benefits coordinators, adjudicator, residential services, disability services, work adjustment, and geriatric rehabilitation.
- The curriculum is flexible and provides the opportunity for students to take courses that reflect their special interests.
- All rehabilitation services majors must complete 400 clock hours of practical experience at a human service agency. Rehabilitation services minors complete 200 clock hours of practical experience.
