Nursing
Major
Today's nurses are important members of the professional health care team dedicated to promoting, maintaining, and restoring health. Nurses combine scientific knowledge, skillful hands-on care, and a concern for people to meet individual, family, and community health care needs. Nurses who hold baccalaureate degrees often assume positions of greater responsibility and leadership. Registered nurses are needed in health care settings such as: schools, industry, community health centers, hospitals, home health care, private practice, and the military services.
