The LEADER Consortium is pleased to announce that one of our own - Dr. Heidi Ries, Co-PI and Institutional Coordinator at AFIT - is the recipient of a 2011 Department of Defense Women's History Month Foreign Language and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Role Model Award. The award was conferred in part to  recognize for Dr. Ries' efforts on behalf of the LEADER Consortium. In announcing the award, the Air Force noted that  as ' Dr. Ries is the energizing force behind the collaboration between notable Ohio universities and the Air Force Institute of Technology that resulted in improved communication, recruitment and processes for women faculty members.'   Congratulations to Dr. Ries for the award and her efforts in support of female faculty at AFIT and across the LEADER Consortium!
