WSU-Lake Campus welcomes applications from qualified international applicants.
Applications for admission must be completed 6 months before the quarter in
which applicants wish to begin studies at Wright State.
International applicants are expected to meet the following criteria for admission:
- Undergraduate applicants must have an educational background that is equivalent
to a high school diploma from the state of Ohio.
- All international applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English.
For applicants whose native language is not English, the Test of English as
a Foreign
Language (TOEFL) is required; a minimum score of 500/173 is required for admission.
Students in need of assistance with English will be referred to Academic
and
Instructional Services.
- Since there is no financial assistance available for undergraduate international
students, the university must be assured that all international applicants have
adequate financial resources to attend Wright State.
- Transfer students must also present evidence of above-average ability to
do
college work.
All first-year international students are required to take the reading, writing,
and mathematics placement examinations before enrolling for their first quarter
of classes.
