Foundations Courses
OL 301 – 4 Professional Skills in Organizational
Leadership
This course is an introduction to thinking about business
integrity within a structured, coherent framework to develop
abilities
in ethics, networking, communication and presentation skills. Corporate
etiquette is also examined. This course includes a
survey of related technology and will include internet and
electronic
mail communication.
OL 302 – 4 Contemporary Issues in Leadership
This course introduces students to contemporary leadership
theories, concepts, and issues. Students will examine
contemporary societal and organizational forces and challenges
that affect modern organizations.
OL 303 – 4 Organizational Leadership Assessment
This course is designed to provide students the opportunity
to learn appropriate methods for assessment within the
organizational settings. This includes both individual
and organization-wide assessment.
OL 304 – 4 Developing and Presenting Effective
Training
This course presents strategies to develop and present
effective training. It includes program implementation,
assessment, evaluation, and supervision.
Skills Courses
OL 494 – 4 Professional Development Seminar
This course focuses on development of the individual as leader
and prepares the student for marketability in the workplace,
and managing change in organizations.
OL 495 – 4 Leadership in Practice: The Capstone
In this course, students will have the opportunity, under
the direction of a faculty advisor, to gain experience
by applying
and integrating classroom material to an actual administrative
problem. Students will identify an issue of
importance in their organization, or in an organization
identified in
consultation with their advisor, which needs some type
of action. |
