TECHNICAL STUDY SKILLS TRAC OPTION
Associate of Technical Study A.T.S.
The Associate of Technical Study degree uses courses from existing two-year technical programs along with the general education base to fulfill a unique educational need. Intended for individuals with specialized technical interests, the Associate of Technical Study degree allows the student to develop, with the guidance of a designated faculty advisor, an individualized technical program. This individualized program must establish an educational goal and include a concentration of courses required to accomplish that goal.

This technical component may be developed by combining courses from two or more of the academic programs in the technical areas. This development is done through the guidance of a designated faculty advisor. The technical programs are: applied business and applied science technologies. As an alternative, part of the student’s degree requirements may incorporate credit awarded through articulation or transfer agreements with other educational providers. |

Admission Information:
Advising is a KEY component of this degree.
A minimum of 48 credit hours of the total program must be in a clearly identifiable area of concentration. General Education requirements and basic requirements must each account for a minimum of 21 credit hours of the program total or 42 total credit hours. Prerequisites may need to be completed prior to enrolling in the selected course(s). The Associate of Technical Study Degree requires a minimum of 93 credit hours; graduation requirements are the same as for other A.A.S. and A.A.B. degrees.
Other Information:
Criteria: All courses identified for credit must be applied for within the first three years of the completion of the program levels. Individuals wishing to receive credit must be registered as a student with Wright State University – Lake Campus during the quarter in which they whish to apply for earned credit.
