By submitting this prepayment waiver request, you will be eligible for a space in campus housing. Once accepted and signed by the Director of Residence Services or his/her designee, you are responsible for all obligations indicated in the Terms and Conditions for the duration of the Agreement period. Housing Rates will not be increasing for the 2012-2013 Academic Year!

 

General Information

  • The apartments sit just west of campus, and are viewable from James F. Dicke Hall. Phase one, completed in Fall 2011, consists of townhouse-style apartments that have a beautiful view of Grand Lake St. Marys. Each apartment has 4/5 bedrooms, with the option of having one shared bedroom per apartment; students may request roommates.

 

The apartments are completely furnished, with a full kitchen and two bathrooms as well as a living and dining area. The cost of room and board is part of the student’s tuition bill and financial aid may be applied.The cost is approximately $1200/quarter for a shared bedroom and a private bedroom is $1800/quarter. Utilities including cable TV, Internet and phone line are included in the cost.

  • Applications are still being accepted for the 2011-2012 academic year, and for 2012-13!

  • * There are approximately 30 beds available on first-come, first served basis

  • * A $150 deposit will be required (For deposit refund information and deadlines, please see "What I Need to Apply," below.)

  • * Students can request their roommates

Wright State University will be converting to semesters in the Fall of 2012. Specific semester rates will be posted as soon as the university releases the information.

General Information on Lake Housing Amenities

  • * Town house-style apartments
  • * Cost: $1,200 a quarter for a shared bedroom (double)

  • * All utilities (water, cable, internet, phone, etc.) are included in cost
  • * Cost of housing is part of the student's WSU tuition bill (students may use financial aid)

Apartment Options

Four Bedroom Plan

*The four bedroom plan has two bedrooms and a bathroom downstairs and two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs.   One bedroom per apartment can be shared allowing up to five students in an apartment.

 

Five Bedroom Plan

*The five bedroom plan has only one option, offering five single bedrooms and three full bathrooms.


BOTH UNITS HAVE

A full kitchen, living room, and two bathrooms, and are furnished, including the living room, dining area, and bedrooms.  Other features include, Cable TV, High speed internet connections (wired and wireless), and a telephone line.  Residents are encouraged to bring traditional telephones for the apartment, as a back up to personal cell phones.

* Private bedrooms (singles)are $1,800 /quarter

* Shared (double) $1,200/quarter.

What I need to Apply

Requests for student housing is current open. Prospective students can apply on-line through the Lake Campus homepage,  www.wright.edu/lake,  using  the housing application link or by clicking the link on this page (under Lake Campus Image)


In addition to providing name, University ID (UID) number, and related information, students will be asked for the following:

  • ** A summary of any special needs or disability
  • ** A ranking of room preferences: Single or double bedroom
  • ** Roommate preference(s).  These are not required, but strongly encouraged. 
    • ** All roomate requests must be mutual
    • ** You will need the UIDs of your roommates as well
  • ** Housing pre-payment of $150, submitted through the website.  This pre-payment will be applied to the first quarter housing fee.

    • Cancellation information:
      • ** Cancel on or before June 1 to receive a full refund by emailing housing_lake@wright.edu.
      • ** Cancel in writing beginning June 2 through July 1 to receive a 50% refund by emailing housing_lake@wright.edu.
      • ** Cancellations received after July 1 will forfeit the $150 deposit; no refund will be given.

  • Assignments will be made according to the time and date of application for students who have submitted a complete application with pre-payment.  Roommate requests will be honored first.  A waiting list will be maintained after assignments have been completed.  The housing agreement features a nine month term (September through June) with an option for Summer.

  • Cost of housing includes all utilities, high speed internet connection (wired & wireless), Cable TV, and a land line telephone connection.  Single bedrooms are $1,800/ quarter, Shared bedrooms (doubles) are $1,200/quarter.  Financial Aid can be used to pay for student housing, after Tuition & Fees are paid.
