The Western Ohio Educational Foundation (WOEF) was organized in 1962 in response
to a growing desire for residents of the region to have access to higher education.
For more than three decades, the WOEF Board has remained strongly committed to
the success of the Lake Campus. While continuing to serve in its role as citizen
advisors, the WOEF Board also supports special projects that more immediately
benefit the needs of students. Governed by a 28-member board of community leaders,
WOEF can provide approximately $274,000 in scholarship awards for the upcoming 2008-09 academic year. Since 1990, this organization has awarded more than $1.5 million
for this purpose. To be eligible for assistance through WOEF scholarships, a
student must be enrolled at the Lake Campus.
