A Message from the Dean
Welcome to our Lake Campus website!
The Lake Campus of Wright State University has witnessed tremendous growth in the past few years; in fact, this fall, we again celebrated strong enrollment of 1417 students. It is truly an exciting time to be at Lake Campus, and I am honored to be involved.
As many of you know, our Lake Campus was recently transformed by a $9 million renovation project. As our enrollment continues to soar, our next challenge continues to be to meet the needs of this growing population. Our goal is to now focus on the internal renovation: in the coming academic year, we hope to bring more faculty, staff and programs to our campus.
Speaking of new programs, P. Ruby Mawasha has been named director of the Lake Campus Engineering and Computer Science program. The Lake Campus is proud to offer the entire curriculum for the bachelor’s of science degree in mechanical engineering, with a manufacturing concentration. Mawasha will work closely with local industry to identify areas of specialization in manufacturing engineering, so engineering students can begin taking specific classes in those topics that are most applicable to companies in the area.
Our Food Services operations have undergone a complete face lift. For more information, menus and before-and-after photos, please refer to our Food Services Web site.
We are also continuing to work on building on-campus student apartments. Although our first building was delayed due to wet spring weather, we hope to have our residents all moved in soon. Applications are still being accepted, so visit our housing page often!
Please drop by the Lake Campus to say hello and to see our transformations in progress.
