Undergraduate Application Checklist

The following items are mandatory for undergraduate admission:


Photocopy of passport page showing photo, name, and birthdate (the information page).

Note: Passport must be valid for at least six months after time of travel.


International Student Application Form. Completed online.


Uploaded, complete, official academic record from ALL high schools, colleges, and/or universities, or intensive English programs, attended in the U.S. or anywhere in the world (individual semester transcripts). Failure to disclose attendance to any school may result in cancellation of admission offer.

Note: Please do not mail documents. Wright State will not return any paper records.


Official results of any of the following with minimum score as indicated:

  • TOEFL - 61
  • IELTS - 5.5 with no subscore lower than 5.0
  • PEARSON PTE - 51
  • Satisfactory completion of LEAP level 4 TOEFL Waiver Track

Note: Some colleges/programs have a higher English Proficiency requirement (see below):

  • College of Engineering - Minimum TOEFL 71
  • English major: Minimum TOEFL 79; Minimum IELTS 6.5 or Minimum Pearson 58

Please be advised that the minimum scores cannot be lowered.


Evidence of sufficient financial resources to support the student through the first year of studies (financial statement form) and current official bank statement in US dollars). See the financial requirements page for more information.


A non-refundable $30 application fee. If you complete the online application you MUST pay online for the application to be loaded. We are unable to view online applications until payment is completed.

The following items are not mandatory for undergraduate admission but will aid in a scholarship decision:


SAT scores / ACT scores

All documents become the property of Wright State University and cannot be returned to the applicant, photocopied, or forwarded to another institution.


The integrity of everyone's identity is a priority at Wright State University. For that reason, we do NOT accept transcripts, test scores, banking information, or passport copies via email.  All applicants are to upload required documents to their applicant portal.
