Feature Alum: Don Brown
1983 B.A.
Sports Anchor, WKEF/WRGT Television, Dayton, Ohio
"I'd hate to ever have to work for a living."
When Don Brown played varsity baseball during his first year at Wright State, he discovered he could
indulge his passion for sports through broadcasting.
Starting out at WWSU, Wright State's student radio station, Brown gained the broadcasting experience that
helped him land his first job at WKEF/WRGT television. Since becoming sports anchor, Brown's covered the
Super Bowl, the World Series, the Indianapolis 500, and more local sports events than he can count.
Brown's other passion is his work for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Each Labor Day since 1987, Brown has
hosted the local segments of the MDA telethon. He's willing to host the telethon "as long as it takes to get a cure."
