"Wright State's faculty pushed me to do my best."
For Anthony Whitmore, doing his best means making a difference. His professional endeavors have run the gamut from mentoring youth
as director of Dayton JobCorps to spearheading economic and educational development programs for several African nations to serving
as a regional and state-wide liaison for two Ohio governors. Today he's promoting the economic and environmental benefits of public
transportation by directing the marketing and ridership programs for Greater Dayton Regional RTA.
After hours, he volunteers with numerous nonprofit organizations, including Wright State University, where he serves as president of the newly
formed African American Alumni Society.
Favorite WSU Memory: My time spent at the Bolinga Center.
It was a place where I could share cultural experiences and learn new things, not just
pertaining to African Americans, but about global issues as well.
Best Advice: "There are no free lunches in life."
