Feature Alum: Gregory Lockhart
1973 B.S.B.
U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio
"We help make the communities a little
safer -- a better place to raise your
children, go to school, work, live."
Appointed by President Bush as U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio, Gregory Lockhart's biggest thrill is representing and serving the people of the United States. In addition to supervising attorneys and support staff in the Dayton, Columbus, and Cincinnati offices, he works with the antiterrorism task force he established. It includes networks of sheriffs, prosecutors, police, and federal agencies. "We still prosecute cases involving guns, drugs, etc., but terrorism is our number one priority."
A constitutional law class at Wright State University made law come alive for Lockhart. "The faculty planted in me the idea of going to law school and then worked with me to attain that goal."
