Feature Alum: Eric Ellis

1984 B.S.B.
Leadership Coach, Cincinnati, Ohio

"I get excited when I see the principles we talk about make a difference in a company and its bottom line."

Eric Ellis learned the value of teamwork as a member of Wright State's NCAA Division II national champion basketball team in 1983. And he learned the value of human potential from his father and personal hero, Duke Ellis, a pioneer in diversity education and one of the founders of Wright State's School of Professional Psychology.

The younger Ellis combines the two principles in his own company, Integrity Development, which provides diversity training, leadership development, and team building for companies such as Toyota and Maytag. "We're trying to help corporations create workplace environments that value their people and their diverse customers," he says.

Favorite WSU Memory: Winning the Division II national championship in 1983.

Best Advice: "If you get rid of bad habits and attitudes in your life, there's no limit to what you can become."

Last Book Read: First, Break All the Rules, Marcus Buckingham and Curt Coffman
