Wright State App Access Issues - Resolved

Update: As of 2pm on 5/11/16 all issues have been resolved. Pilot is now accessible through the Wright State App.

Currently, the 'Pilot' link through the Wright State app is unavailable. If you are trying to access Pilot through the app, you will see the screen below:

CaTS and the CTL are aware of the issue are working with the vendor on a resolution. If you want to access Pilot on your mobile device, open a web browser and visit Pilot directly at pilot.wright.edu.

CaTS will update the university when this issue has been resolved.

Wright State Network Issues Resolved

Internet Access Issues

Email Access Issues Resolved

At this time, access to Wright State email is only available through outlook.wright.edu. Email access through the Office 365/Email icon in WINGS, is currently experiencing issues. CaTS is aware of the issue and working on a solution.

Storage Systems Upgrade - 5/7/16

On Saturday May 7, between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., there will be a systems upgrade to provide an updated version of the storage functions on workstation computers throughout campus during which the ‘Home’ drive will be unavailable. This can include Macs, Windows, and others that are not on the Wright State domain.

If you are on the domain, you will not be affected by this update; however all users will be affected during the maintenance window. For instructions on how to check if your workstation is connected to the domain, visit https://www.wright.edu/information-technology/blog/article/verifying-you....


Currently, the ‘Home’ drive can be accessed through both home.wright.edu, which shows only ‘Home’, and shared.wright.edu, which shows the ‘Home’, ‘Shared’, and ‘Restricted’ drives when using the 'Run' command on your computer. After this upgrade, the ‘Home’ drive will be accessible only through shared.wright.edu.

Wright1 Card Outage for 5/1

The Wright1 Card system will be unavailable during the following times due to system maintenance:

  • Sunday, May 1, 2:00 p.m. through Monday, May 2, 4:00 p.m.

During this time, access to the following Wright1 Card services will be unavailable:

  • Online deposits and account statements
  • Sales at off-campus and on-campus merchants (Union Market will be open & accepting cash/credit card)
  • Wright1 and credit card swipes at campus vending machines
  • All pay-for-print card swipes at printing stations, copiers, and laundry (does not include Xerox printer card swipes)

During this time, the Wright1 Card office in 055 Student Union will also be closed.

Office 365 Email Update

Microsoft recently made updates to email functionality through the Outlook Web App (OWA), accessible at http://outlook.wright.edu. If you have further questions about this information, please contact the CaTS Help Desk at (937) 775-4827.

Reply All Default

The default setting to respond to emails has been changed from 'Reply' to 'Reply All'. To change this option back to 'Reply', follow the steps below:

  1. Login to http://outlook.wright.edu with your Office 365 username and password.
  2. Click the gear icon in the upper right corner of the page.
  3. Select Mail at the bottom under 'My app settings'.
  4. Click the drop down arrow on the Automatic Processing section.
  5. Select Reply Settings and choose Reply.
  6. Click Save.

"Send" and "Discard" Options

All 'New' and 'Reply' email messages now have Send and Discard options located at the bottom of the message. See the screenshot below.


Changes to "Settings" Options

The Settings option has changed from a drop-down list to a sidebar format. See the screenshot below.
