Changes for Office 365 Sites

Exciting changes are coming soon to Office 365 Sites! More information is available below. If you have questions about these changes, contact the CaTS Help Desk at (937) 775-4827.

New Name, Better Search and Navigation
Office 365 Sites, which is built on Microsoft’s SharePoint service, are being renamed to simply “SharePoint”. This change will be visible on your Office 365 services grid and on all Office 365 Sites. The search and navigation functions on sites will also change. To read more, visit:

Office 365 Updates - 5/17/16

Microsoft has made some recent changes to Wright State’s Office 365 environment, specifically to email functionality through the Outlook Web App (OWA), accessible at

  • All outgoing emails now have 'Send' and 'Discard' options located at the bottom of the compose window.
  • The Settings option has changed from a drop-down list to a sidebar format.
  • The default option to reply to an email has been changed to Reply All. This option can be changed back to Reply.

Wright State App Access Issues - Resolved

Update: As of 2pm on 5/11/16 all issues have been resolved. Pilot is now accessible through the Wright State App.

Currently, the 'Pilot' link through the Wright State app is unavailable. If you are trying to access Pilot through the app, you will see the screen below:

CaTS and the CTL are aware of the issue are working with the vendor on a resolution. If you want to access Pilot on your mobile device, open a web browser and visit Pilot directly at

Storage Systems Upgrade - 5/7/16

On Saturday May 7, between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., there will be a systems upgrade to provide an updated version of the storage functions on workstation computers throughout campus during which the ‘Home’ drive will be unavailable. This can include Macs, Windows, and others that are not on the Wright State domain.

If you are on the domain, you will not be affected by this update; however all users will be affected during the maintenance window. For instructions on how to check if your workstation is connected to the domain, visit
