Update on Wright State App Availability
As many of you may know, the university recently experienced connection and usage issues with the new Wright State App. CaTS has made a performance enhancement to the app, and at this time, we feel the app is performing well enough for us to announce that it’s ready to use again.
We encourage you to leave feedback about the app. You can do so through the “Feedback” menu item on the app. You can also contact the CaTS Help Desk at (937) 775-4827, or toll free at 1-888-775-4827.
For those unfamiliar with the app, you can find more information on the Wright State App website, located at http://www.wright.edu/wrightstateapp/.
Urgent: Payroll Theft Scam Alert
Recently, The Department of Homeland Security issued a bulletin concerning a Payroll Theft Scheme aimed at universities. Through email fraud campaigns, individuals working at a university are tricked into giving away their credentials. Once the perpetrators have the user’s credentials, they use that information to access self-service portals to change direct deposit information.
Currently, Wright State does not allow the editing of direct deposit information through our self-service portal, but banking information and W2’s are viewable. This information could be used to steal an individual’s identity. It’s important to be alert to any emails requesting your username and password. Please remember, Computing and Telecommunications Services (CaTS) will never ask you for your username or password.
If you think you may have fallen for this type of scam, please contact the CaTS Help Desk immediately at (937) 775-4827, or toll free at 1-888-775-4827.

Netflix Bandwidth Reduction for Main Campus

This reduction will NOT affect the residence halls or electronic classrooms. This WILL affect usage on both the wired and wireless networks. For questions about this reduction, please contact the CaTS Help Desk at (937) 775-4827.
