Festivities celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month

Annual month-long events between September 15-October 15 to celebrate and honor the contributions of the Latino/Hispanic community.


Amigos Latinos Gala

The Amigos Latinos Gala yearly supports the success of Latino students at Wright State by raising money to support Latino student scholarships and programs. For more details visit the Amigos Latinos Gala website.


Family Weekend Salsa and Dominoes Tournament

The Latino Center hosts their annual dominoes tournament with live music during Wright State University's Family Weekend.


Latino High School Student Visit Day

Yearly in early November, the Latino Center partners with area high schools to bring over 150 Latino high school students to experience campus with the Latino Center.


Amigos Latinos Career and Internship Fair

Yearly in the Spring semester, the Latino Center partners with area businesses looking to hire diverse/bilingual candidates by providing a career and internship fair for Wright State students.


Latino Student Graduation Ceremonies

At the end of both the Fall and Spring semesters, the Latino Center honors graduating Latino students with graduation stoles.


Latino Center Summer Day Program

Yearly in June, the Latino Center invites 15-20 Latino high school students to experience campus via a 6-day summer program, which teaches college success strategies, tips for career readiness, math, and writing sessions, and offers hands-on experiences with all 6 Wright State University colleges. Latino Si Se Puede First Year Seminar Course

Offered once a week each Fall semester, the Latino Center offers a course specifically for new incoming Latino/Hispanic students to explore success strategies needed for a positive first-year experience, all taught through the lens of Latino culture. Latino Wellness Clinic

Offered monthly with a primary focus on increasing access to quality healthcare for the underserved Hispanic/Latino population in East and North Dayton. The Latino Wellness Clinic connects attendees with wholistic community resources and free health screening services in a bilingual and culturally sensitive environment. Learn more about the clinic.
