Wright State President David R. Hopkins was one of nearly 600 faculty, staff and student volunteers on hand to make the students' move easier. Volunteers driving golf carts transported students from parking lots to their new home in an orchestrated move that has become a Wright State tradition.

President and Mrs. Hopkins greeted Dr. Wan-Lee Cheng, president of Taiwan’s Chung Yuan Christian University, who, along with a delegation from the university, toured Wright State and met with administrators.

Interviewed by some of the nearly two dozen members of the media at the event announcing the newest Wright State/Wright-Patterson Air Force Base partnership, President David R. Hopkins shared that both the university and the base are celebrating anniversaries this year-Wright State’s 40th and the Air Force’s 60th.

President David R. Hopkins joined Lt. Gen. Terry Gabreski, vice commander of Air Force Materiel Command, and Molly Louden, director of the USAF Marathon, at a media conference to announce the 5k Race at Wright State University on Friday, Sept. 14, preceding the 11th annual Air Force Marathon. Behind them, on the flightline of the 445th Airlift Wing, is the C-5 Galaxy, the "mascot" airplane of this year's event.
