IT services provider Sogeti will house a training program for new employees at Wright State University, a university professor said Thursday morning.
Dubbed “Sogeti University,” the program will begin at Wright State on Monday, Vikram Sethi, director of WSU’s Institute of Defense Studies and Education, said in an email to the Dayton Daily News.
“The target of this program is that all new employees hired by this group globally will first come to Dayton for a six-month training program before they return to their home locations and become IT consultants,” Sethi said. “The reason for this initiative in Dayton — a persistent and vibrant IT presence in the region; experienced IT leaders who can guide this program and help from us at Wright State University.”
Kelly Maroney, a local Sogeti spokeswoman, confirmed the announcement, but couldn’t provide immediate details.
Sogeti USA’s North American headquarters is in Washington Twp.
