The Wright State University Institute of Defense Studies and Education (IDSE) is dedicated to providing high-value educational programs using best practices relevant to the United States Department of Defense.
The mission of IDSE is to build education and research programs that support DOD transformation principles:
Transformation is a continuing process. It does not have an end point.
Transformation anticipates and creates the future and deals with the co-evolution of concepts, processes, organizations, and technology. Profound change in any one of these areas necessitates change in all.
Transformation creates new competitive areas and competencies and identifies, leverages, or creates new
underlying principles for the way things are done.
The overall objective of these changes is sustained American competitive advantage in warfare.
