Dr. Xinhui Zhang
 
Assistant Professor

Dr. Zhang is an assistant professor of industrial engineering in the Department of Biomedical, Industrial and Human Factors Engineering at Wright State University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in 2003. Dr. Zhang's focuses in the area of optimization, especially theory and solution methodology in linear, integer programming and combinatorial optimization and its application in manufacturing, logistics, transportation, media and service management and engineering design. Dr. Zhang has lead the airline crew scheduling and recovery implemented in continental and northwest airline, the advertising allocation for media industry, the equipment and personnel management for United States Postal Service mail processing and distribution centers, the design and optimization for VLSI testing structures and supply chain management and optimization. Dr. Zhang's latest industry project include the transportation optimization for the David Joseph Company, the warehouse and inventory management system for Rittal Corp. and the whole supply chain design and management for Peco II corporation. Dr. Zhang has published in IIE Transaction, IEEE transactions, Computer and Operations Research, European Journal of Operations Research and Journal of the Operational Research Society. He is an active member of INFORMS.
