The EDI Coordinator Certificate Training consists of two classes: EDI Introduction and Implementing EDI.

The EDI Introduction class is a two-day class designed for people with limited experience with electronic data interchange technology. The course will include a brief history of EDI theory and technology to help participants understand EDI from both a conceptual and historical perspective. Participants will gain a thorough understanding of EDI terminology, communication standards, and technical requirements. Students will also gain a thorough understanding of basic EDI transaction types, trading partner requirements, integration techniques, and common failure points.

The Implementing EDI class is a two-day class designed for people already familiar with EDI technology. The course will focus primarily on business functions related to EDI, including accounting, inventory, shipping/receiving, and IT. Special attention will be given to the workflow processes required to implement EDI in a real-world scenario.
