Q:  How can I find out how much sick leave I have accrued?
A:  Employees can access their leave balances online through WINGS Express.  Supervisors can access employee leave balances by contacting their respective Human Resources Operations Analyst.

Q:  Why doesn’t the WINGS Express statement match my records of sick leave?
A:  Classified sick leave balances in WINGS Express are accurate.  Unclassified sick leave balances in WINGS Express are necessarily one month behind.

Q:  Can I use sick leave to attend a funeral?
A:  Yes, an employee uses sick leave as Bereavement leave for up to five (5) days per occasion for immediate family members.

Q:  Can I use sick leave to drive my brother-in-law home from outpatient surgery?
A:  Yes, brothers-in-law are defined as immediate family and if a physician required an employee's presence to transport this family member it would be covered by sick leave.
