Assistant/Associate Professor/ Surgical Oncologist

Education and Experience:   Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency program and completion of a surgical oncology training program or its equivalent. Assistant Professor level candidates must meet required minimum job qualification requirements; Associate Professor level candidates must meet required minimum job qualifications; be Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and have at least 5 years experience at the Assistant Professor level. License to practice medicine in Ohio, ability to obtain malpractice insurance and certification by or eligibility for certification b the American Board of Surgery.  

Length of appointment:  Annually Renewable. Special contract terms and conditions of employment apply.

Working Conditions:  This position requires working at the Dayton Veterans Affairs Medical Center.


Position Description:  

Serve as a surgical oncologist/general surgeon in the Department of Surgery both in and out of the Dayton Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Contribute significantly to the academic/research mission of the Department of Surgery and of the Dayton Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Participate actively in the teaching and supervision of surgery residents and Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine medical students.
