Assistant Professor of Dance

Education and Experience:   Minimum of three years teaching on professional, pre-professional or university level; professional performing experience with a recognized ballet company; MFA or equivalent professional training; evidence of successful choreography.

Preferred:  Evidence of outstanding success in the profession (e.g. artistic director or ballet master/mistress of a nationally recognized professional ballet company); experience within the university academic environment; experience in one or more of the following: teaching pedagogy, dance history, choreography, modern or jazz.


Position Description:  

Teach intermediate and advanced ballet, men's class and/or pointe and partnering.

Choreograph for dance concert.

Mentor and advise students, institutional and professional service including assignments to university committees.
