Position Summary: The PTOC Pharmacist will oversee and control all dispensing functions. The PTOC Pharmacist will oversee all other routine pharmacy functions

Education and Experience:    Must be a licensed pharmacist in the State of Ohio and will have evidence of such. Two years of retail outlet experience.

Position Description:  

The On-Call Pharmacist will dispense and compound pharmaceuticals as prescribed by licensed Physicians, Veterinarians, Podiatrists, Osteopaths, Dentists, Midwives and Advance Practice Nurses in accordance of federal and state laws.

The On-Call Pharmacist will review all labels and new prescriptions for sources of error before dispensing to the patient.

The On-Call Pharmacist will maintain adequate inventories by ordering pharmaceuticals, and pharmaceutical supplies through the Wright State University purchasing system.

The On-Call Pharmacist will inspect inventory for compliance with federal standards.

The On-Call Pharmacist helps maintain the security and inventory of items contained in the pharmacy and completes records as required by law of pharmaceuticals that are dispensed from the pharmacy.

The On-Call Pharmacist will supervise non-pharmacist employees.
