Position Summary:  To instruct SM 101, Scientific Thought and Method and provide administrative support for NSF-funded STEP grant

Education and Experience:   Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in STEM field; three years experience teaching introductory science using an integrated lecture/lab delivery.

Note: Continuation contingent upon grant funding. Special Contract terms and conditions of employment apply.


Position Description:  

Instruct for SM 101, Scientific Thought and Method; assist with curriculum development, course revisions, assessment and evaluation; collaborate with Sinclair Community College in development of ASE 101.

Provide administrative support for NSF-funded STEP Grant; train and supervise STEM undergraduate/graduate students to serve as lab assistants and peer tutors for introductory STEM course; provide support to disseminate the curriculum and associated first-year experience activities through production of a textbook and trough presentations at professional meeting; and provide academic support for STEM first-year students.
