Education and Experience:   Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of two years of compliance experience at a NCAA affiliated university.

Preferred: Masters degree and Division 1 compliance experience


Position Description:  

Ensure compliance with university, Horizon League and NCAA rules and regulations governing intercollegiate athletics operations; interface with the Director of Athletics and Faculty Athletics Representative to clarify interpretations, and report any activity which might be construed as a violation of rules; educate student-athletes, coaches and staff members on NCAA rules and regulations; provide NCAA rule interpretations for the department.

Carries out the functions related to the athletics financial aid program for the department ( book loan program, meals, instructional fees, etc.); monitor team and individual limits, eligibility for financial aid and employment.

Coordinates the Letter of Intent program.

Carries out the functions related to NCAA academic eligibility by monitoring initial eligibility, transfer eligibility, and continuing eligibility with the assistance of the Academic Advisor, SWA, Admissions Director and Registrar; monitors the coaching staff's recruiting efforts.

Coordinates the UVC 101 class for student-athletes, 3 sections annually.

Administers the Student-Athlete Special Assistance Fund and the Opportunity Fund.
