Education and Experience:   Bachelor's degree in accounting or related area. Five years of significant experience in managing a departmental budget.

Preferred: Master's degree in Business Administrative, database management, in particular the Banner student database and/or RMS student housing software and two or more years in a campus housing program, not necessarily in a budget management position.

Note: Weekend hours may be required at the beginning of each academic term.

Position Description:  

Comprehensive management of departmental budge totaling $18M, including leadership of annual budget development process and monitoring of income and expenditures.

Management of financial relationship with privatized provider of housing facilities and services, including monthly and annual reconciliation.

Management of procurement debit cards used by professional and undergraduate staff.

Serve as back up System Manager for "RMS" housing software system, conducting monthly/annual financial reconciliations in RMS, and maintaining relationships with other University offices that are 'touched' by that system.

Maintain productive working relationships with University business and fiscal affairs offices through standing committees, related projects, and informal contact, including but not limited to serving on the WSU Business and Fiscal Affairs Officers Committee.

Serve as member of departmental management team, functioning at the Associate Director level.
